The Area
- East Yorkshire Coast 30 miles (40 minutes – 1 hour). Coastal towns of Bridlington, Scarborough and Filey all within easy reach and Whitby with its dark Dracula connections not much further. There are some beautiful quieter beaches also nearby, including Reighton Sands and Fraisthorpe Beach both only 40 minutes away.
- Historic City of York 10 miles (20 – 30 minutes). With its cobbled streets, quirky shops, numerous museums and of course it’s depth of history, York is one of the UK’s most beautiful and interesting cities. Why not visit the Jorvik musuem, www.jorvik-viking-centre.co.uk , walk the city walls, or simply take a day to explore the shops.
