Wolds Edge Takes Silver at the Visit England National Awards 2016

Published: 4th April, 2016

After our success winning the REYTA’s in 2015 we received some more exciting news… On Tuesday the 08th March 2016, Wolds Edge Holiday Lodges achieved national recognition, achieving the “Silver Award” for “Self Catering Accommodation” at the Visit England Tourism Awards 2016. We were up against winners from all across the country and shared the awards ceremony with other award winners such as the BBC’s Country File team who won the award for “Outstanding Contribution to English Tourism”.

What Visit England said about us:

“Wolds Edge successfully combines family holidays and romantic breaks on the same site by providing well-equipped self-catering lodges and two cosy shepherd’s huts in a truly peaceful, rural setting. Located on the edge of a delightful village, guests can relax in their hot tub, pop to the excellent village pub for a hearty lunch, go walking on the nearby Wolds Way or hire a bike. Children will be entertained collecting eggs, building a bird hide, or spending a day geocashing, all arranged by owner Ruth. At the end of the day the whole family can catch up with life in their very own bird box via the webcam link.”
