For something more adventurous head to Allerthorpe Lake to try out some water sports or get a unique perspective on the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds with a flight in a glider.

This market town is packed with lovely shops and cafes. It's also home to Burnby Hall Gardens - named as ‘a jewel in Yorkshire’s crown’ - a haven of tranquillity. Try your hand at canoeing or kayaking at Allerthorpe Lake, and check out their inflatable obstacle course in the summer.
