About Us

We moved to the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds from the South of England and have never looked back. The rolling hills and unspoilt countryside, with its close proximity to the historic city of York, has kept us enchanted with the area since our arrival. With the help of my father, family and friends we carefully planned and built Wolds Edge. Our adventure began with Mill Pond Lodge in 2005, which is situated beside the newly restored pond where a wildlife haven now flourishes.

In 2010 we bought the small piece of land, known as Wolds Edge and in 2011 began carefully and lovingly designing the site around the existing planting and topography. All our accommodation, some named after the local dales, has been built ensuring it complements the environment and natural surroundings, using locally sourced materials. Our vision and enthusiasm have enabled us to transform this small rural field into a national award-winning collection of luxury self-catering accommodation.
